The Bow Wave of your Life

As a physicist I have always been fascinated by Bow Waves, those advance messengers of a ship's path as it sails through the water. Recently I have become drawn to what the Catholics call the Sacrament of the Present Moment...as Today being a special almost sacred place where your life is unfolding. I keep getting this image of Today being like the Bow Wave of your life...a special moment as your life sails from the Known (yesterday and before) into what is to come...the As-Yet-Unknown. The Bow Wave of today is where your life is unfolding before your eyes, the interface between the past and the future.
